Watch The Birdie

For sometime, I'd been puzzled by some weeds and dirt having been left on the paving outside the back door. I'd assumed a blackbird but the mystery was solved when I spotted Jasper watching something closely outside. If you look closely, you can just see the object of desire to the left of the green tub. (Click all the photo's to expand)It was a Wren. So small but had obviously chosen our yard as its patch. It could not have been aware of Jasper watching a potential meal as it came right up to the door.

If you look closely you can see the Wren to the left of Jasper. Needless to say, at this point Jenny Wren realised there were big yellow eyes watching intently and off it went, never to be seen so close again.
Poor old Jasper had to make do with Kit e Cat for breakfast again.

  1. Thanks for your visit. By the way, the first photo enlarged, the second and third one wouldn't let me make them bigger, so I will take your word that a wren was there, LOL. We have a black cat
(our Daughter's and Granddaughter's) that have moved back home with us temp. He loves to look out our sliding door. He'll lay for hours on top of a work table in the office watching out the windows, and talk about chattering. He makes all sorts of weird noises, and from the side, he looks like he's cold and his teeth are chattering. LOL Our Granddaughter (just turned 10 on the 5th of March) said he's watching kitty TV. Have a great week-end.

  2. Patty. Its fascinating watching Jasper when she starts 'chattering' at the birds outside. She only does it at the smaller birds like the Wren above. She's given up on the Starlings etc
Thanks for the feedback re the photo's not enlarging. They were all the same size etc. At the moment I'm thinking it was caused by dragging then to their final positions within the text.
Perhaps someone else might have an answer?
